Drafted by Tempany Web Studios for Jennifer to review before launch. Not legal advice.

About this website

This website is published by Jennifer Ellis, independent celebrant, Ayr, Ayrshire. The information on it is provided in good faith to describe the ceremonies I offer. It is not professional advice and does not form a contract.

Booking a ceremony

  • A booking is confirmed when we have both agreed the date, venue and fee, normally by email.
  • My fees are set out on the FAQs page. Travel within a 15-mile radius of Ayr is included; beyond that I charge 55p per mile. Any other expenses are agreed in advance and in writing.
  • The fee is payable on or before the day of the ceremony unless we agree otherwise. Many families ask their funeral director to include it in the funeral account.
  • You will receive a draft of the ceremony script in advance and may ask for amendments. The final script remains my copyright, and you receive a copy for your own use.
  • If a ceremony is cancelled or postponed, please tell me as soon as you can. If I have already prepared the script, I may ask for part of the fee to cover that work; I will always discuss this with you first.
  • If I am unable to lead a ceremony through illness or emergency, I will do everything I can to arrange a suitable replacement celebrant or, if that is not possible, refund any fee paid.
